Back from Texas

The band rolled back into Maryland over the weekend. Sad to see their time down south come to an end, but excited to get the ball rolling on the new record. Stay in touch to find out more on the upcoming project. In the mean time, help us out with the Couch by Couchwest online project. Click on that “Like” button if you’d be so kind and help us spread the word of The Herd of Main Street. Thanks and see you soon!

Things to come…

The Herd of Main Street is heading to Austin, Texas for this year’s SXSW. Playing March 13th at Kick Butt Coffee right outside the convention center, we shall see what the Lonestar State has to offer.

In other news, the songs are laid out and recording should be underway soon. New record and possibly an EP to go with it should be ready by late spring. Here’s an early home recording of one of the songs-to-be. Hope y’all are as excited as we are!

Glad I Tried early demo

And keep in touch to find out about more shows coming up as the weather warms up.  In the meantime, if you haven’t checked out “Seven Dollar Grave,” you can pick up a copy at Record & Tape Traders in Towson, Soundgarden in Fells Point, or online at CDbaby.com and iTunes. A few nice words

It appears that the British are on board with Seven Dollar Grave…

“The Herd Of Main Street’s new one Seven Dollar Grave, another consistently good album, but in particular Break my Heart with it’s achingly heartfelt boy-girl harmonies, Indiana with it’s gorgeous combined Piano, organ and Pedal Steel and the wonderful 3 song sequence Torture In The House Of God, Hangmans Rope and Funeral walk, which just has to be one of my favourite instrumentals ever.”   www.bobharris.org message board
